A couple of weeks back I shared with you 35 free tools for IT, developers and business, and asked readers what free tools you like and want to share. Since then I’ve been testing out the entries and I’ve made my choice.
The winning reader entry is: Maria, who writes for her blog ‘Never the Same River Twice’, and her choice was Evernote.
Evernote is an access-anywhere, anytime tool for capturing, organizing and retrieving heterogeneouscontent from almost any source. It becomes your memory! I really like Evernote as it is so easy to use and can is available on your desktop, through a web browser and even on a cellphone. You will never forget anything again, except you password to access Evernote!
The best thing about Evernote, beyond compare, is the built-in ability to search everything you capture. And I mean pretty much everything. For example, if you capture an image of a business card, Evernote reads it and you can search the text within it. It works on any image with text in it, even written text by a doctor. Don’t believe me? Give it a try!
@Maria – yes I love it! I am not quite at the level of wondering how I managed without it but I think I will do at some point.
If you haven’t tried Evernote, then give it a go and download it for Free!
Simon, I’m glad you found a lot value in using Evernote. I’ve got a few thousand notes in my Evernote database now and have it integrated with Jott so that I can leave myself voice notes. I don’t know how I lived without it!
